.Net/Sharepoint Developer Amerigroup

Amerigroup is looking for a C#/ASP.Net developer with experience developing custom web parts. This person is a principal level developer and will need 7 - 10 years of experience with .Net technologies and 2 years with Sharepoint/MOSS experience.

Outside of this experience, they are looking for someone with any other front end technology experience (PHP, JSP, GWT, etc). Amerigroup is heavily looking into moving away from Sharepoint and needs someone who can makes solid, educated recommendations on what they should look at instead.

This is a contract to hire (per the manager's request) and salary is 85 - 95K with flexibility for the right person. They do have a bonus structure which is up to 5K annually (and could be more).

ASP.NET Developer

Amerigroup is in need of an expert ASP.NET and C# web developer with significant experience writing custom web parts for running in a SharePoint environment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate mastery of ASP.NET, C#, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, IIS and SharePoint development in an enterprise setting. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in other web technologies (such as PHP, JSP, or GWT), and in content management systems (such as Drupal, DotNetNuke, Joomla).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Equivalent experience (8 yrs) is acceptable in lieu of a degree(s).

Specific Technical Skills

Experienced senior C# developer with extensive experience developing HTML, XHTML, and CSS as well as user interface design principles

· Strong ability to understand the impacts of server, network, databases, and other infrastructure on application design

· Strong experience with relational databases and related technologies

· Strong experience with ASP.NET development, including creation of master pages and custom controls

· Experience utilizing web services provided by third parties

· Experience writing web parts without using SmartParts or other adapters in a SharePoint environment

· Experience with automated unit tests (nUnit or MSTest) and static code analysis (FXCop)

· Experience with object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and the creation of reusable code libraries

· Experience with multiple database technologies and products such as MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Oracle, etc.

· Demonstrated knowledge of the strategic alignment of IT solutions with business objectives

· Demonstrated thought leadership in a required development discipline or toolset

· Able to identify root causes of problems. Demonstrates the ability to develop and implement solutions for the causes identified

· Able to develop and manage a project, including strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Interview Process:

30-45 minute Phone Interview with Matt and Tom initially and a follow up personal interview with the development team.

· Experience working with Subversion, Jira, SharePoint

· Experience who understands user experience and human interface guidelines

· Extensive real-world experience with numerous web tools, such as PHP, JSP, GWT
